About Us
Deichman Farms began with a long-held dream and a genuine respect for the work behind growing great fruit. Trey spent time working for local orchards and farms, gaining hands-on experience and learning the realities of fruit production. After graduating from Penn State with a degree in Agricultural Science, that experience shaped a clear goal: to build an orchard focused on thoughtful planning, practical knowledge, and quality crops grown with care.
When we purchased an aging former Christmas tree farm, we began transforming it into what is now Deichman Farms. Restoring the land and preparing it for production required clearing, patience, and many long days of physical work. In 2022, the first trees were planted, marking the official start of the farm and the beginning of steady, intentional growth.
Today, Deichman Farms produces apples, peaches, garlic, herbs, honey and other market garden cops. Each season brings progress as the orchard matures and new plantings come into production. We rely on proven growing practices, careful decision-making, and continuous learning to produce high-quality fruit and crops we are proud to share.
Deichman Farms is a family-owned and family-powered operation. From planting and maintenance to harvest and sales, every step matters. While Trey’s vision laid the foundation, the farm reflects the collective effort required to build something lasting—one season at a time.
We are grateful for the friends who generously give their time to help with planting, farm chores, and harvests. We also deeply appreciate the local farm community and the experts at Penn State Extension, who are always willing to share their knowledge and guidance. Their insight and support strengthen our approach and help us continue to grow with confidence.
